Kristin joined National Association of Social Worker’s Illinois Chapter (NASWIL) to help advocate on social work issues in 2016. After her time at NASWIL, Rubbelke was recruited by a private lobbying firm to be the Director of Government Relations. There, she built key legislative relationships, became the point-person on multiple grassroots lobbying efforts, and gained knowledge and skill on how to effectively lobby on behalf of a number of complex issues in Springfield and in Chicago. She joined Capitol Edge Consulting in 2019 as their Vice President of Government Relations.
